ATK WMIACPI Utility is a Windows support component that links a laptop’s ACPI hardware controls to the operating system through WMI. It enables device‑specific functions such as Fn hotkeys (volume, brightness, airplane mode), on‑screen display indicators, keyboard backlight control, and other power and sensor features. The utility typically runs in the background and starts with Windows, and it is commonly bundled on many ASUS notebooks as part of the ATK/ACPI driver package. Removing it can disable special keys and on‑screen notifications, so it’s best left installed unless your device vendor provides a newer replacement (for example, a modern system control/interface driver). If you must reinstall, obtain it only from your device manufacturer’s support page.
